Confirm the series, pattern and slab details
The quotation should identify the collection/series, colour or pattern code, thickness and slab dimensions. A manufacturer-gallery image represents a product family; review a physical sample in the project space to assess the exact tone and pattern repeat.
For veined slabs, approve cut direction, island returns and backsplash continuity on the fabrication drawing. The number of slabs and cutting plan needed for pattern matching should be clear in the quote.
Plan cut-outs and edge details before fabrication
Sink and hob openings, internal corner radii, front-edge thickness, seams and wall returns should follow the processing instructions for the selected slab. Handling and cutting support for large-format porcelain slabs are also part of the production plan.
If a waterfall island return or a slim edge is required, show the section detail, joint line and substructure before installation.
Check the datasheet, care guide and warranty scope
Use cleaners and stain-response procedures from the care guide for the exact manufacturer series. Confirm any fabrication and handling conditions linked to the slab thickness and intended use.
Obtain product warranty and fabrication/installation workmanship terms in writing. Check whether measurement, cut-outs, edge work, delivery, support, removal and installation are included.
